About this template

A digest email for a blog, magazine or content site that publishes several stories a week. It opens with a centered wordmark and a small menu, then a calm lake photo with the headline, one line and a blue button in live text on top.

Six stories follow in three rows of two. Each card has a photo, the date and category in small grey caps, a bold title, one or two lines of summary and a small Read more button. Even gaps and matching photo sizes keep the grid tidy.

Three footer columns on black hold a short line about the publication, an address and useful links.

Send it weekly or monthly. Mix topics across the grid and keep summaries to one sentence so each card stays the same height. The layout is rebuilt from an open source stories template; the copy, brand and photos are new.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
