About this template

A newsletter for community centers, neighborhood associations, libraries and local clubs that run classes and events. It opens on a wide photo of raised garden beds under a blue sky, with the headline written over the sky in live text, so the words stay easy to change.

Below the photo, a short section lists what is on this month. Three tall photos show a painting class, a knitting circle and a sewing repair table, each with two lines of detail and a sign up link. A thin rule separates the activities from the main event of the month, which sits in a clear date card with the day, time, room and street address, plus a button to save a spot.

Warm off white paper, deep garden green headings and one rust accent give it a friendly, local feel that never looks like a sales email.

Change the three activities and the date card each month, keep the opening photo seasonal, and your neighbors will know where to look for what is coming up.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
