About this template

A personal newsletter for a writer, editor or small publication that leads with words rather than pictures. It reads like a well set magazine page: warm off white paper, a serif for titles and a clean sans for the body.

The masthead puts a short serif name on the left and the issue number on the right, with a dark rule under them. The main essay follows with a small label, a large serif title, a byline with the reading time and a few paragraphs, then a link to read the rest on the web.

Three numbered reading picks come next, each with a title and its source. A short section on one tool the editor uses, a quote from the editor and a thank you line close the issue, with a black button to share it. The footer says who writes the letter and links to settings.

The structure follows a designer newsletter template built for a weekly brief. Write in your own voice, keep the essay opening short and let the web page carry the rest.
