About this template

A newsletter for magazines, food and farming journals, regional publishers and long form blogs. It reads like the opening pages of a printed issue: one strong cover image, then a calm table of contents with photos.

The cover story sits under a wide photo of a wheat harvest, with a serif headline, one line of intro and a Read the story button. Three tall photo columns follow for the other features of the week, each with a short summary and a link. A divider leads to a smaller market feature told as a photo beside text, and the email closes with a signed note from the editor and social links.

Warm paper tones, a high contrast serif and soft brown links give it a quiet, bookish feel.

Change the cover photo and the three stories each week and keep the rest as your house layout.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
