About this template

A welcome email for software trials, built for bookkeeping, finance and other business tools where the first ten minutes decide if a user stays. It tells new users what to do first, in order.

A bright blue band opens with the trial status, a short headline and a white button that leads straight to the dashboard. A photo of a laptop on a desk full of plants follows. Under it, three numbered steps on a pale blue panel walk the user through setup: connect the bank, sort the last month and send a first invoice. Three blue icons answer the usual worries about data, payment and help.

A dark split panel offers a free setup call with someone from the team, with a photo of a quiet home office. The footer keeps the company address and the trial reason. Clean sans type and a single blue accent keep it calm and practical.

Change the steps to your own setup flow and send it the moment the trial starts.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
