About this template

A year-end fundraising email for shelters, food programs and local charities that rely on small gifts before winter. It starts with people at work, not a logo: volunteer hands lifting noodles from a steaming tray, under a serif headline that asks for help in plain words.

A short row of three icons turns gift amounts into something real, from a hot meal to a winter bed, followed by one clear Give now button. Two photo stories show where the money goes this season, a stack of knitted blankets and a lantern lit in a cold doorway, each with a short line and a link. The email closes with a few words from the director, signed by name, and the footer with the charity details.

The colors come from the photos: warm amber, cream and a deep brick red for the buttons. Fraunces headings over Inter keep it human and calm, more like a letter than an advert.

Change the amounts to match your own costs, add your charity number in the footer and send it in the first week of December.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
