About this template

Asking someone to give every month is a bigger request than a single gift, so it deserves a letter and not a banner. Northfold Literacy Fund is the sample charity here, and its director writes to people who have already given once.

A small wordmark sits above three short paragraphs set in a serif face on warm paper. They thank the reader, say what steady money changes, and name the amount in plain terms. A single line from the director’s notes stands out with a side bar, and one small button sets up the gift. Her signature comes last.

Write your own version in the voice of your own director. Use only costs you can show, and name one small amount so the choice feels easy. It works best a few weeks after a first gift.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
