About this template

An automated reminder for online shops that sell home goods, decor or gifts. It nudges people who added items to the cart but did not check out, with a calm tone instead of pressure.

A soft beige panel opens with the line you left something behind and a short note. The cart follows as a tidy list with a small picture, name, color, quantity and price for each item, then subtotal and total. A green-bordered coupon offers 10% off, a button takes the reader back to the cart, and a muted line points to help with sizing or delivery questions.

Send the first reminder one to four hours after the cart is left, and save the coupon for a second email a day later if the first does not convert. Pull the item images from the cart itself so readers see exactly what they chose.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
