About this template

A monthly statement email for banks, card issuers and account based finance apps. It looks like a page from online banking, with everything a customer checks in one view.

A dark menu bar runs along the top with links to accounts, statements and help. A plain heading names the month. Three figures show the closing balance, the money in and the money out. The largest charges follow in a tidy table, with fees and interest on their own rows and a total at the bottom. A short checked list gives notes for the month. The footer has two levels: columns with help and account links, then the legal line.

Keep the full statement behind login and show only summary figures here. All names and amounts in this sample are made up.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
