About this template

Nobody enjoys a price rise, and hiding it makes it worse. This notice from a small hosting company says it plainly. A small wordmark sits above the first sentence, which states the change. Dockside Hosting is the sample sender.

A single row of three numbers then shows the old price, the new price and the date it starts, so nobody has to look for them. Two short paragraphs explain why the price is going up and what the customer can do, including how to leave or switch to a yearly plan at the old rate. A real person signs it.

There is no button, no photo and no sale language. Replace the numbers and write your own reason in your own words, and send it well before the date so people have time to decide.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
