About this template

The last reminder before an unpaid invoice goes further. There is no logo, and the first thing the reader sees is the amount, in white on a dark red band, with the invoice number above it.

A short table repeats what the invoice covers, what has been paid and what is still open. One paragraph gives the final date and what happens next, without threats. One button leads to payment, and a small line tells people who have already paid or who dispute the amount what to do.

Accountants, consultants and small firms can use it after two earlier reminders have gone unanswered. Check the wording with your own adviser, since rules on collecting debts differ by country.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
