About this template

A cancellation email for gyms, studios, clubs and subscription services. The reader has already decided, so it confirms the facts, thanks them and asks one easy question on the way out.

A small text wordmark and a short note open the email. Neat rows then show the plan, the last day of access, any final charge and the balance. Below that, four buttons name the usual reasons for leaving, and one tap records the answer. A muted line says how to come back and that no further charges will be made.

Do not put an offer here. Keep it a clean goodbye, and use the reasons to decide what to send, or not send, in a few months. Change the reasons to fit your own service.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
