About this template

A notice for banks, credit unions and any service that holds personal data, sent after a security incident. It has one job: tell people the facts in order and keep them safe from the scams that often follow this kind of news.

There is no color band and no photo. A small wordmark and a plain heading lead straight into three checked points: what happened, what was done about it, and what the reader should do. One full width button opens the longer public notice, and no login is needed to read it. Below, two footer columns say how to reach a person and repeat the warning about codes.

The email never asks anyone to click to verify a password. Have your own legal and compliance people review the wording, since rules on these notices differ by place, and replace every sample detail with what truly happened.
