About survey emails

A survey email asks customers for a quick opinion. The answer helps you fix problems, find what people love, and spot unhappy customers before they leave.

The trick is to make the first answer take one click. Our survey templates put the question right in the email, with the answer options as large links: a row of scores from 0 to 10, a set of ratings, or a few clear choices. Each click opens your survey page with that answer already saved, so even people who stop there give you data.

Keep the email short. Say how long the survey takes, why you ask, and what you will do with the answers. A small thank-you, like points or a discount, can lift the response rate, but a clear and honest ask matters more.

Questions

When should I send a survey email?

Soon after the moment you ask about: a day after delivery, an hour after a class, or a week after sign-up.

How many questions should a survey have?

One in the email, and no more than five on the page. Short surveys get far more answers.

Can people answer inside the email?

They click an answer in the email. Each answer is a link to your survey tool with the score in the URL.
