About this template

A survey email that a hotel, inn or guesthouse sends the day after checkout. It asks one question and makes the answer a single tap, so more guests reply. The opening is a photo of a white hotel on the shore of a dark forest lake, and the question sits on it in large live text.

Three stacked buttons carry the answers, from a filled button for the happy reply to two outline buttons for the middle and the low one. A short muted line under them says who reads the answers and what happens when something went wrong, which makes an honest reply feel safe. After a thin divider, two photo rows ask for optional ratings of the room and the breakfast, each with its own small button.

Sea teal, white and a soft display serif keep the tone calm and grown up. Plenty of white space around the buttons keeps the question easy to answer with a thumb.

Point the three buttons to your survey tool with the answer in the link, then send it automatically after each stay.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
