About this template

For consultants, agencies, accountants and any service business that wants to thank clients without selling. It looks like a personal letter, because a short honest note lands better than a designed card.

The firm name sits small at the top. The letter opens with a greeting by first name and goes on in four short paragraphs: why the firm is grateful, a specific memory from the year, a note that the office closes for the holiday, and a wish for the season. A thin autumn brown line sits above the founder’s sign-off with name and role. The footer stays light.

Send it on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, from the founder’s own address. Change the memory paragraph for your biggest clients; one personal line is enough. Do not add a link or offer, or it becomes a sales email.

Use it in your email tool

  1. Click Copy HTML, or download the .html file.
  2. In Mailchimp, Brevo, HubSpot or Klaviyo, start a new email with the custom HTML or code editor and paste it in.
  3. Change the text, links and images. Map merge tags such as {{first_name}} and {{unsubscribe_url}} to the tags of your tool.
  4. Send a test to yourself on desktop and phone before you send it to your list.
